ABOUT US

The Center For Environmental and Public Health Research and Development (CEPHARD), RC 145749, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to developing and implementing policies and programs to strengthen global health systems and deliver effective, efficient, and affordable healthcare.

Some of the major challenges in health care financing in Nigeria is misconceptions, lack of passiveness and misappropriations of the available resources design for health care delivery system. Most of the key stakeholders including the Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria Center for Diseases Control [NCDC], Federal Ministry of Environment and international donor agencies team are at different levels of knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes guiding effective and seamless referrals, initiation and reconciliation of claims. This has resulted in a disjointed work relationship and poor harmonization of claims and equivocal services delivery to the clients. This is a major contributor to the low public trust and Universal Health Coverage in Nigeria.

In view of the high level of conflicts and adjudications in claims management,poor public trust and the resultant low demand on the financing Health care delivery system. CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND PUBLIC HEALTH, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT [CEPHARD] has designed an extensive executive education program as an urgent response to close the gaps in claims management, build trust and improve Universal Health Coverage.
